Abstract

Flow polytopes are beautiful geometric objects that encode the different ways material can move through a transportation network. Flow polytopes for certain types of transportation networks have particularly nice volumes and geometric structure. In this talk, I will discuss recent developments regarding this topic. This talk is based on several joint works with Matias von Bell, Kaitlin Bruegge, Robert Davis, Derek Hanely, James Ford McElroy, Khrystyna Serhiyenko, Julianne Vega, Andrés R. Vindas-Meléndez, and Martha Yip.
